Hello again!

If you don’t know, I’m doing a series where I document the entire process of building my business, Gentle Bull Co, from the ground up.

It’s day two of posting my entrepreneurial journey and transparently following the best and most common advice.

First, I learned you have to define what you’re doing as clearly and concisely as possible.

I already did that in my previous post in greater detail, which you can find on my profile but

TLDR: I’m building a mobile makerspace workshop inside a school bus that delivers access to tools and knowledge right to your door. The parent company is called Gentle Bull Co, LLC (the LLC was registered a few years ago)

Now that I have a clear idea of what I’m going to do, the next step is to look for others, who have already done some thing, similar and learn from them!

##Who are the top players?

MIT Fab Lab

  • OG fab lab and the ultimate case study in scaling. There are over 2000 locations worldwide

Farber Specialty Vehicles

  • manufacturer specializing in constructing mobile makerspaces inside busses, vans, and trailers

Regional Libraries

  • various mobile makerspaces exist at the community level, but their vision is limited

Other than that, Google isn’t turning up much info. It seems like this is a very niche market — which means there’s likely a gap of underserved people.

Now that I know who some of the players are, I can reach out and start asking questions!

I’ll leave my questions in the comments below. This post is already long enough.

Cheers! If you have any insight or feedback please let me know!

Thank you, see you tomorrow
